Back again to say hello to all you Fabulous Bloganistas and those of you in training... .
Well, I am making progress in getting my website up and running, yesterday I paid for a 2-year contract with GoDaddy and I will be calling them tomorrow to start building up my site and inserting the products - this is what I enjoy doing, I love describing the products and telling my patrons all about them. Some of the products have history and I briefly insert it in the descriptions. Being a history buff, you can be sure I am in my element at this point.
When I had my shop, A British Accent (r) in Canyon Crest, Riverside, California, every Thursday night, that was late night for the shops, this dapper, elderly gentleman, would come in, lean on the counter and start talking, as if performing for an audience, all about World War II. His oral dissertation really was phenomenal - if you didn't know that Sir Winston Churchill was no longer with us, you would swear blind it was he who was giving me and my customers the narrative of the War. He became such a fixture that the people thought I employed him to basically entertain everyone. The Welsh actor, Sir Richard Burton (I think he was husband 5 and 6 for Elizabeth Taylor) he too would do an unbelievable presentation of Churchill. I can remember this gentleman the first or second week he came in, asking me if I knew who he sounded like - I hm'd and haw'd for a bit and then I said, "...oh, yes, you sound exactly like Richard Burton" - poor man, he almost blew a gasket; however, every Thursday night he would come in, do his stint, buy some chocolates and head out to the movies. After he became such a regular, and the customers just loved him (he did help revenue) I would give him his chockies as a wee treat , do you think there was a method to his madness?
I ordered my business cards today - they look really nice on the screen, let's hope they are as nice when I get them. I'll take a photo of them and upload it in the next Blog.
Okay, here you can see the beautiful Hallmarked Sterling Silver pieces -- the pendant and earrings are of the Celtic Triskele, also known as Triskelion, and the rings, top left is the beautiful and World famous Claddagh originally designed by Richard Joyce in Galway, circa 1700's, for his beloved, this design is presented in a very different style from the usual simple band. The ring, top centre, depicts the Keeper Hounds from Celtic Folklore and the other ring is fashioned out of the Celtic Knot, as in love and life, it has no beginning and no end, it just is... . it makes a lovely wedding band. I hope you like seeing these additional pieces -- soon you will be able to go online and view all I will have to offer at www.thewrapofluxury.com -- the jewellery and/or jewelry (as I said before, spelling depends on which side of the Pond you live) and you will find so much more in "The Celtic Corner". You will find the prices very purse-friendly at the same time knowing you are purchasing a top-of-the-line product.
So, until next time, I'll say cheerio, toodle pips, au revoir, bye bye and all that jazz. Until next time... . "E"
